Whata-great idea! Whataburger app shows Houston locations that are still open after Hurricane Beryl

If your power is out and you’re craving a big, juicy Whataburger, you can use their app to find locations that are open and closed.
HOUSTON — As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, nearly 1.9 million CenterPoint customers still didn’t have power thanks to Hurricane Beryl.
With food in the fridge going bad and non-perishables running low, people who are desperate for a hot meal have been driving around looking for fast-food restaurants that are open. If they get lucky and find one, they might have to wait in a long line of cars.
Well, leave it to Texas-based Whataburger to help save you some time! Download their app and under the locations section, type in your ZIP code or city and see a map of Whataburgers in your area. If the location has an orange Whataburger logo that means they have power, are open and are serving customers through the drive-thru only.
In-store, app orders, curbside and in-store pick up aren’t available because of storm-related issues. These services are being added back in the coming days.
The gray Whataburger logos signal the store is closed. Unfortunately, the map has A LOT of gray Ws right now.

BBQ Bryan from Tomball posted the map on X and it had more than 6.8 million views as of Tuesday afternoon. Whataburger even commented.
“Well there’s a use for our app we didn’t think of! We hope you and everyone else are okay!” they posted.
We’ve put together a list of other Houston-area restaurants that are open right now.
